A 60 Minute Night In DC

Horay! I finally got some me time, and all I could think about was what I was going to capture. I figured I’d hit up most of Rockville so I decided to take it into D.C.
As I drove, I really didn’t have any particular place in mind. So, as I got off of the highway I just stayed in a straight line. I passed lots of places and scenes that looked like they would make great images, but night had not fully fallen. I was looking for some cool night shots so I kept driving. Read more…

A Swing @ HDR

I am impressed time after time by all of the awesome images I see browsing about on the net. Pictures with great composition, lighting, and beautiful places all fascinate me. Vivid picture ha? Hey, I’m a photographer, not a painter :) We decided to go grab a couple of slices at a pizza joint called the Magic Mushroom. I thought why not grab Fifi (my Canon 550D), to tag along, and see what images we could capture? While this post isn’t about the details of our night out it is more about what I learned. But hey, a little back story never hurt… Read more…

Mikelbphoto.com YAAAA!

So, I finally got a decent website. One I can say I’m proud of and undoubtedly put my name, logo, and most important pictures all over. I even went as far as getting some business cards made up on (shameless plug) Zazzle.com. For my first business cards they turned out pretty okay.

If your still reading, (zzzzz…) you may be wondering “Well, what the hell prompted you to get off your butt and get your stuff together?” My short answer is simply three words; passion, beauty, education. For some of you that may be enough but for others who need a little more read on. Read more…
